X1 offer both vertical pod installations and horizontal pod installations.
Vertical installations require the pods to be installed floor-by-floor as the structure is being built. At the completion of the building structure phase all bathroom pods are in place and completed.
With horizontal installations a platform is secured to the outside of the building. The pod is lowered by crane and then wheeled into place on that level.
The pods need to be in place before other services can commence. Horizontal installation of pods does allow the building to continue above the level where the pods are being installed.
X1 Modular has developed a horizontal pod loading system that allows the pods to be moved into position, safely and securely.
The system is being used in the Blue Haven Bonaira project for Richard Crooks where Buildom Superior Pods were specified.
